how to create this embelishment (:

ok i used this embellishment on a border for a birthday gift for my grand mother (all 14 grandkids made an A4 page of writing, a picture ECT and i put them in a book and created a border for each one...... i only had a week so.... i thought they were pretty good for only having a week!)

ok so this embelishment was made using:
- tappestry yarn
- needle
- green and blue cardstock (but you could use any colour you like!)
- 2 colour-coordinated buttons
-stud-pin
- medium and small flowers

1. using a circular template, trace a circle onto the ***green*** cardstock. this circle will be the base for your flower!

2. mark even spaced dots around the circle. i used 0.5 cm. these will guide your needle so that stitches are even.

3, thread your needle with yarn. stitch through the holes you marked, assuring that you dont miss the holes or tear the cardstock.

4. once you have stitched the cardstock, get your split-pin and flowers. place the flowers correctly, and fasten with the split pin. you can now attatch the flower to the circluar cardstock.

you should now have something that looks like the main embellishment in the picture.

5. now, get a length of yarn and stretch it straight down the piece of ***blue*** cardstock, fasten with double sided tape. TIP: f you want to conceal the tape, i put 2 pieces of ribbon (one on each end), which really completes the look.

6. use mounting tape to attach the ***green*** cardstock circle to the ***blue*** cardstock. MAKE SURE that the circle is positioned over the center of the yarn.

7.fasten the  buttons about halfway above an below the green embellishment. i just positioned with doubble sided tape and it looks GREAT!
